The Dalton Traffic Commission is an advisory board to both the Town Manager and the Select Board. The board is responsible for the review of proposed developments/subdivisions and driveways, as well as requests for new signs, speed zoning and truck exclusions, etc., on town roads. The commission works closely with Highway Superintendent David Laviolette to address traffic problems and to come up with acceptable solutions.
Meetings are normally held on 3rd Tuesdays in the Crane Room (Town Hall); check Calendar to confirm. The public is welcome.
The commission consists of seven members: five volunteers appointed by the Select Board plus representatives of the police and fire departments. Current members are in the Appointed Officers list maintained by Town Clerk's office.
