Dalton Board of Health

Massachusetts state statutes and regulations require local boards of health to perform many crucial and important duties relative to the protection of public health, the control of disease, the promotion of sanitary living conditions, and the protection of the environment from damage and pollution. The Dalton Board appoints a Health Agent (see subsection at left) to enforce the codes and regulations.

The Dalton Board of Health consists of 5 volunteer members appointed by the Select Board. Current members are maintained by the Town Clerk's office and available at http://www.mytowngovernment.org/01226.

Board of Health meetings are held in the Town Hall the first Monday of the month at 4PM; the public is welcome.

You may contact the Board or the Health Agent at the Town Hall, phone 413-684-6111 ext.20, on Mon, Tue, Thur 8AM-4PM.
